About Us
Sober Hood Edmonton stands out because it’s a grassroots, street-level support network that's driven by real, lived experiences. Unlike traditional programs, Sober Hood operates without a facility, instead meeting people where they are — on the streets, in parks, or wherever they need support most. This approach breaks the barriers of formality and location, making it accessible to those who might not fit into conventional recovery spaces.
Initial outreach:
Community-Driven Support: It’s about being a part of the community,
not apart from it. Sober Hood embraces the reality that recovery doesn’t just happen in meeting rooms;
it happens in daily life, and this organization is right there, actively engaged in the community.
24/7 availability;
If You're having an urge to use. When traditional support like AA or CMA isn’t available,
Sober Hood steps in as a vital safety net. It provides immediate, personal, and empathetic contact for those experiencing urges to use, ensuring nobody feels alone during their most vulnerable moments.
On-going support:
Person-to-Person Connection, It’s not about lectures or rigid programs;
it’s about listening & Educating. Sober Hood focuses on genuine conversations, offering a listening ear from someone who truly understands the struggle. This peer-led approach builds trust and authenticity.
Accessibility and Flexibility:
temporarily With no facility or fixed schedule, Sober Hood is adaptable and mobile. It can meet people in their own comfort zones, be it a coffee shop, a bus stop, or a park bench.
This flexibility makes it easier for those who might otherwise be intimidated or put off by formal settings.
Inclusive Approach:
Sober Hood isn’t just for those in recovery; it’s for everyone impacted by addiction, including families and friends who need support and guidance. It creates a broader sense of community, focusing on healing together.

Honesty in recovery... I want to thank Soberhood Edmonton for helping me get back into working my recovery . I struggled getting back on track but remembering why I got sober in the first place and helping others has given me purpose I'm grateful that I'm able to share my knowledge and my story with other people that are in similar situations... I'll take another 24 hr today thanks again ♡

David, I got into detox thankfully so I'm stoked on that. I'll be going to Henwood after this. Just wanted to say thank you so much for being there for me. You got a good page going on you're helping a lot of people which I'm sure in return helps you too. You're killing this sobriety thing And I look up to you for that. Thank you for being there for me and checking in means more than you know, keep rocking it when I get out I'd like to get involved with helping the community so whatever you've got for me to do to get that rolling I'd love to be a part of the sober hood Community
